Within this
elective, I gained new skills involving the manipulation of light,
and creating marks. The sessions involved casting shadows from
various transparent, translucent and opaque objects, using our bodies
to created distorted images through shadow, and projecting and moving
light in space. Research and experiments generated through this
elective were uploaded by all students to our digital wall, a
resource for us all to refer back to. The sessions have influenced my
studio work, in that I have used light and projection in my images to
change the appearance of the subject.
