Creative Photography Brief - Final Images

The client brief required us to create album art for a band/artist of our choice. I researched into current work and experimenting with my images to create these final photographs. I enhanced these in Adobe Lightroom to alter the colour slightly and enhance the crisp clean look. I was influenced by the work of Ryan McGinley and Banks Violette.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" Brief - Final Images

The client brief required us to create beautiful images from everyday objects. After experimenting with various compositions, lighting and backdrops, these were my final images. I used objects and props that all have the same contextual link. I enhanced these in Adobe Lightroom to smooth out any imperfections in the backgrounds. I was influenced by the product photography of Dennis Pedersen.

Private view and degree show!

After the stress of assessments and installation, the House Collective were finally able to enjoy the private view of the University of Lincoln's degree show 'Three Times Around The Sun'. It was a lovely evening, and we received many compliments about our work. The show is open 10-5 until Saturday 6th June, in the AAD building. We highly recommend you come along and visit while the galleries are quiet, allowing you to appreciate the work in its entirety.

The bed represents myself. Broken, ruined. Covered in plenty of folds and excess, damaged skin. It houses a womb, my sons first home. It contains memories. Footprints traced on the floor show the relationship between mother and son. A walk through history. The smells and sound help to create a motherly experience for the viewer, possibly triggering thoughts from the past.

Nearly there..

Throughout installation, the House Collective have experienced many ups and downs, however, we are pleased to announce that we are nearly set up for assessment. Assessment of our work will take place 20th May, the exhibition "Three Times Around the Sun" will then be open to the public, starting with the private view on 29th May at 6.30pm.
